1. Who We Are

HomeInspect is a product of Sideon, LLC ("Sideon", "we", "us"). This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use HomeInspect at sideon.io.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: your email address and password (stored as a salted hash — we never see your password).

Inspection content: photos you upload and the findings, reports, and project metadata generated from them.

Billing information: handled entirely by Stripe. We never store your card details — we retain only your subscription tier and Stripe customer reference.

Waitlist information: name, email, and industry if you join our waitlist.

3. How Your Photos Are Handled

Photos upload directly from your browser to Amazon Web Services (S3) over an encrypted connection — they do not pass through our application servers. During analysis, photos are processed by Anthropic's Claude AI under their commercial terms, which prohibit training on customer data. Raw photos are automatically purged after processing; generated reports and findings are retained in your account.

4. How We Use Your Information

To provide the service: generating findings and reports, managing your subscription, and responding to support requests. We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties except the processors named above (AWS, Anthropic, Stripe) as required to operate the service.

5. Data Isolation

Your inspection data is accessible only to your account. Every data access in our system is scoped to the authenticated owner — no other customer can view your projects, photos, findings, or reports.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained while your account is active. To delete your account and all associated data, email admin@sideon.io — we process deletion requests within 30 days.

7. Cookies

We use only essential cookies: an authentication cookie to keep you signed in and an anti-forgery token to protect form submissions. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
